I chose option 2 Dragon Summoning, here are a few of the thumbnails I did that I like the most. The idea that I had for it was the sorceress is activating magical ruined pillars around her that summons the dragon.
These all look great Tommy! There are 3 that could really work well.
Sketch 1: I dig the angle and value break-up on this one. I’d just watch the tangent of the dragon following the gesture of the character too much. I’d like to see a version where the dragon angles the other direction.
Sketch 2: this one is great as well. I’d drop the camera angle a little. It could add to the dynamic feel of the image. I’d also widen the frame so it’s not too square in shape.
Sketch 4: I like the dynamic value break up of this one. I’d find a more appealing silhouette for the dragon.
Based on those notes, pick the one you like best, take one more pass and see if you can get a slightly more detailed sketch for Day 1.
